I have come to observe that Web Analytics in France seem to be monopolized by regular advertising agencies, e.g. Doubleclick et al.
Which secret ingredient is France missing to finally take Web Analytics seriously?
Can we just blame it on the fact that it’s too recent a science?
Discuss!
You regret french people don’t talk enough about web analytics.
But, things maybe change with:
Web Analytique
http://www.web-analytique.com
FredCavazza.net
http://www.fredcavazza.net/index.php?Analyse-d-audience
and my blog Pages vues
http://www.experiense.com/pages-vues/
So, keep on writing on webanalytics, french webanalytics community need you!
Benoit,
you’re right in the way that some isolated efforts are being made.
However, major web analytics solutions such as Xiti, for whom you work, have a hard time being viewed for anything other than yet another webpage counter (sad but true).
Adrien’s Web-analytique.com is a step in the right direction but not enough of an effort is made, as a whole, to educate stakeholders about the very nature of web analytics.
Keep up the good work on your blog! 🙂
Yes, you’re right.
Webanalysis is not only about counting visitors.
Educate about the very nature of webanalytics is one of aims of my blog.
And the road will be very long…
Thank you for your support.
